February Projects Update
Hello, here's the first update for Machina for 2025, I have a lot to share.
Orbit R2 Progress Update:
- The overall ETA has been delayed as I didn’t account for the Chinese New Year break on the manufacturing side—apologies for that. I’ll improve planning in the future. The revised timeline is now set for mid-Q2 this year
- I’ve made adjustments to the PCB layout, removing support for the 6.25u bottom row. After testing, I found that reverse switch mounting caused inconsistencies in acoustics. If you’d like to update your PCB option due to this change, please email me at ra66it@machina.mx with your order number.
-
New packaging is currently in the design phase. The previous Cloudnine packaging was a bit excessive, so I’m working on a more refined and fun solution this time.
- The CNC process started this month after the CNY break and I'll keep you updated along the way.
- The PCB order is in progress and will be completed before the CNC process begins.
Cloudnine R2 Extras Update:
- The warehouse team is assembling the last 30 units in stock. The exact drop date will be announced once assembly is completed this month. All sales for this round will be final.
- V4 Prototype will be ordered this month.
-
Major updates include:
- Removal of tri-mode functionality.
- Switching back from PCB tadpole mount to the regular tadpole mount due to acoustic considerations.
- With the removal of the battery, the bottom case has been redesigned to feature full copper/brass, complemented by fabric or Alcantara.
- Given the introduction of these new materials to the hobby, we are considering a limited in-stock sale to ensure overall quality.
Overture 60/65 Update:
- If you are not familiar with this project, here's the IC form:

- The in-stock drop has been moved to next month to align with Geon's 65 Venom HE PCB launch.
- An in-house HE PCB is currently in development, featuring support for a soft plastic plate, a very first in the hobby.
Love you all, take care...
